Roanoke Gas Company, a midsized gas utility in Roanoke, Virginia, was looking to reduce paper, improve data capture in the field, and streamline its service order and line locate processes. The company had already given field crews iPads for GIS access and turned to InsightAtlast and its SOSMobile workforce management system to take the next step in automating field work and integrating it with back-office systems.

InsightAtlast implemented SOSMobile with custom closing Wizards, SOSDispatch, and the Email Monitor to automate service orders and turn about 30,000 811 email notifications per year into electronic locate orders.
