Utilities Company Increases Customer Satisfaction and Reduces Project Costs Through Agile Adoption

Utilities Company worked with Insight to address a recurring challenge: software projects were routinely running past deadlines and over budget, while also needing to satisfy strict documentation requirements from the regulated utilities environment. Insight supported the transformation with an agility health check and Agile/Scrum training services to help the organization move away from a Waterfall-only approach.

Insight implemented an Agile adoption program that included a co-developed Agile boot camp, Scrum Master coaching and mentoring, leadership training, user story and product owner workshops, and Scrum certification support. The results were strong: Scrum projects outperformed Waterfall projects in customer satisfaction (3.9 vs. 3.63) and budget performance (3.39 vs. 3.16), with one Agile team delivering 25% below budget, while Agile adoption and technical agility continued to grow across the organization.
