St. Louis County Police Force Counts on Rugged Laptops to Serve Residents

The St. Louis County Police Department needed a technology partner that understood law enforcement’s demanding field conditions and mobility needs. Working with Insight, the department evaluated several options and chose Panasonic Toughbook 54 rugged laptops to better support officers in and out of squad cars.

Insight helped equip officers with the Toughbook 54, a lightweight semi-rugged laptop that could be easily docked, removed, and used in the field. As a result, officers can enter reports more efficiently, conduct investigations without returning to the station, and access situational awareness tools from the vehicle; the rollout of the first 200 devices quickly drove strong adoption, with officers eager to get their own units.
