SD-WAN Delivers Cost Savings and Performance for a Global Brewer

Global Brewer and Household Company, a global brewer with hundreds of locations in more than 50 countries, needed to modernize its network and reduce operating expenses by eliminating costly MPLS circuits as part of a broader cloud migration. Insight’s Cloud + Data Center Transformation team was brought in after early SD-WAN pilot issues began surfacing, and the company sought a more strategic approach to network transformation using SD-WAN and Cisco Meraki.

Insight assessed and redeployed the headend, designed the SD-WAN solution, surveyed and remediated sites, and replaced MPLS circuits at roughly 75 locations across North America. By implementing Cisco Meraki with cloud-based management and dynamic path selection/failover, Global Brewer and Household Company gained improved reliability, consistently high WAN bandwidth, and simpler centralized network operations while reducing OpEx and hardware requirements.
