Manufacturer Migrates and Modernizes Networks and Collaboration During Divestiture

U.S.Based Architectural Manufacturing Company turned to Insight during a divestiture from its Canadian parent company, facing an urgent need to separate and modernize its IT environment. The company had less than nine weeks to replace parent-managed collaboration and network systems or risk significant monthly fees and loss of support, while also lacking internal resources and documentation to manage the transition.

Insight delivered two coordinated workstreams: a Cisco Unified Communications and Collaboration migration for eight locations and a Fortinet SD-WAN implementation across 12 sites, along with firewalls, FortiManager, cloud migration, and operational handoff documentation. The project migrated data for 640 users, avoided an estimated $200K late fee, and helped the customer save about $350K in hardware refresh and support costs, while completing the full scope on time and under budget.
