Lane Regional Medical Center Drives Ambitious Security and Workflow Enhancements

Lane Regional Medical Center, a healthcare organization serving more than 200,000 community members north of Baton Rouge, needed to modernize its workspace and strengthen security. With aging devices running Windows 7, rising cybersecurity risks, and pandemic-related budget pressures, the hospital turned to Insight for help through Insight and Intel’s Connected Workplace Makeover Contest.

Insight helped Lane Regional Medical Center win $50,000 to upgrade devices and fund additional IT projects, including new hardware with Intel Evo vPro devices and Dell Technologies solutions. The modernization improved security, enabled real-time clinical documentation, supported better EHR use, and enhanced the end-user experience for clinicians and staff, ultimately helping deliver better patient care.
