International High-End Grocery Store Chain Leverages New and Refreshed Technology to Improve Customer Experience and Support Growth

Insight worked with an international high-end grocery store chain operating nearly 500 stores across North America and the U.K. to modernize aging in-store technology while meeting a strict zero-interruption policy backed by financial penalties. The retailer needed to upgrade network and communications infrastructure, improve customer and staff experience, and standardize technology across existing and new locations, including SD-WAN-ready networking and cellular boosters.

Insight provided consulting, system architecture and design, solution deployment, and OneCall Support using technologies from Cisco, Meraki, Mist, and HPE. The engagement included hardware and voice installs in 32 new stores, full cabling for six new stores, voice refreshes in 20 existing stores, cell repeater work at about 15 stores, and WAN activation support at 200 stores, plus nearly 600 voice tickets handled. As a result, the customer saw faster fiber uplinks, improved uptime and redundancy, better cellular coverage, more reliable communications, and 24/7/365 remote monitoring and troubleshooting support.
