Multinational Investment Management Corporation, a large global investment manager overseeing trillions of dollars in assets and more than 10,000 employees, needed to move its business-critical institutional portfolio management platform from on-premises data centers to the cloud without any downtime or disruption. The company wanted to modernize a core application that supports both internal teams and external clients while reducing infrastructure costs and enabling expansion into new markets. Insight helped the customer evaluate AWS versus Microsoft Azure through a proof of concept, then built a multi-year Azure migration roadmap in close collaboration with Microsoft. The solution included zero-downtime migration automation, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and adoption of Azure DevOps, Azure IaaS/PaaS, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Data Factory, Azure Kubernetes Service, Application Gateway, and API Gateway.
