Emergency Response State Agency Goes From Parent Infrastructure to a Modern, Managed Model

The U.S. State Emergency Response Management Program turned to Insight when a government mandate required it to separate from its parent agency and operate as a stand-alone organization with dedicated IT infrastructure. The challenge was to maintain extreme availability and uptime while rebuilding its environment quickly and securely, especially given the agency’s critical role in emergency planning, response coordination, and public safety.

Insight’s Cloud + Data Center Transformation team delivered an Infrastructure Strategy Workshop, then designed and implemented a modern architecture using Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto Networks, VMware, Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Azure technologies, along with migration support and a dedicated on-site engineer. Insight also provided Managed Services to support the new environment, enabling a secure and timely migration, an easy cutover with maximum uptime, and a resilient, highly available infrastructure that met the state mandate and exceeded expectations.
