The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) worked with Insight’s BlueMetal division to redesign its public website and improve the user experience for more than 4 million members across 10,000 congregations. ELCA needed to replace multiple legacy search tools and a costly Google appliance with a simpler, more intuitive way to search across structured and unstructured content, databases, affiliated sites, and multimedia.
Insight implemented a SharePoint-based federated search solution with responsive design, auto-completion, metadata support, CRM and Google Maps integration, and unified search across content, people, places, and media. The new experience streamlined content access, improved search relevance and administration efficiency, and created a common interface that enhanced interactions with members and prospective members.
