Leading Mutual Insurance and Benefits Services Provider, a century-old employee benefits company, was in the middle of a broad IT transformation to modernize its environment, exit data center management, move key assets to the cloud, and shift from CapEx to OpEx. Facing a proposal from another provider that exceeded budget and required heavy upfront investment, the company turned to Insight for cloud transformation support, migration planning, and managed storage services.

Insight helped the customer consolidate data centers and migrate to a colocation facility while designing a hybrid infrastructure strategy for roughly 200TB of storage across Pure Storage, Commvault, Cisco, and VMware. Using Insight’s As a Service with NetApp Keystone offering, the company gained scalable pay-as-you-go private infrastructure and was able to shift about $100K from CapEx to OpEx, stay on budget, improve liquidity, and maintain continuity during the transformation.
