Leading Retailer, a major home improvement retailer, needed a more secure and standardized way to support hundreds of application teams that were each working in isolated environments. Partnering with Insight, the company sought to improve visibility, security, and consistency across development platforms while speeding up application delivery and infrastructure management using Google Cloud and Google Kubernetes Engine.

Insight built a repeatable, self-service platform engineering model using GKE, HashiCorp Terraform, and HashiCorp Vault to manage provisioning, secrets, CI/CD, and policy standardization. The result was a more auditable and traceable security posture, standardized certificate management, and a smoother migration of 3,600 applications across 48 Google Cloud projects and 24 business units from on-premises to Google Cloud, helping Leading Retailer deliver apps faster at scale.
