Case Study: PwC streamlines expense management with InRule

A InRule Case Study

PwC streamlines expense management for 6,000 employees with InRule

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Middle East faced a significant challenge in managing travel and billable expenses for its large, traveling workforce across 13 countries. The complex logic for reimbursements and varying VAT regulations were trapped in the heads of approvers or hard-coded into 13 different legacy financial systems, which did not integrate well with their SAP Concur expense management tool. PwC needed to centralize this decision logic and turned to the InRule decision platform for a solution.

By implementing the InRule decision platform, PwC Middle East integrated its systems and centralized hundreds of business rules. The solution automatically processes expenses via REST calls, determining the necessary credits and debits. This resulted in a seamlessly integrated expense management system used by 6,000 employees. The InRule implementation was deployed by a team of just two people in a few months and was so successful that PwC is now looking to expand its use to other areas like regulatory compliance and data cleansing.
