Beazley Manages Complexity With InRule

Beazley, a specialist insurance group operating across multiple regions, needed a way to manage and underwrite highly complex U.S. specialty insurance business while handling the regulations of all 50 states. To replace multiple legacy platforms within an ambitious 18-month timeline, Beazley sought a flexible rules solution that could support rapid change, business-user input, and sophisticated logic without heavy programming. It chose InRule, a business rule authoring and execution platform from InRule Technology, as part of its BeazleyPro underwriting system.

With InRule, Beazley built a component-based platform that streamlined workflows, improved consistency, and enabled changeable business rules across underwriting operations. The solution now supports 100% of U.S. admitted business, is used by more than 250 users each day, and processes over 7,500 business rules daily. Beazley has since expanded BeazleyPro beyond specialty lines into political and contingency and property groups, with over 50 products live and plans for another ten, underscoring the impact of InRule on scalability and operational efficiency.
