Arizona Department of Education Reduces Processing Time By 83% With Inrule®

The Arizona Department of Education needed a better way to manage business rules and data across five non-interoperating systems supporting multiple education programs. Hard-coded rules made changes slow, and inconsistent data across systems created integrity concerns. InRule® provided a business rules management system (BRMS) to help centralize and manage these rules and data processes.

InRule audited more than 3,000 rules, identified 750 duplicates and errors, and migrated the cleaned rules into its platform. It also configured two connected rules engines to aggregate and cleanse data. As a result, the department now processes 5 to 15 million nightly transactions in 2 hours instead of 12, reducing processing time by 83% while improving data accuracy and integration across state systems.
