A InRule Case Study
The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) faced the challenge of rapidly complying with new Affordable Care Act legislation, requiring them to build a website to determine Medicaid eligibility. With a complex set of rules to manage and a strict deadline to meet, ADPH needed a solution to develop and validate thousands of business rules in accordance with government standards. They turned to the InRule business rules management system (BRMS) to address this need.
InRule's BRMS was integrated into ADPH's new online portal, where it validated user data and interfaced with federal systems to determine eligibility. This solution was instrumental in helping ADPH successfully launch their platform and meet the October 2013 deadline for compliance. A senior manager praised InRule for being intuitive, flexible, and backed by exceptional support, stating it was in a class of its own.
