Hamburg uses INRIX data to reshape Port infrastructure and plan a new subway line

The city of Hamburg faced the challenge of an aging, car-centric infrastructure and increasing urbanization pressures. To enhance the safety and efficiency of its roadway network while shifting toward sustainable, multi-modal transportation, it turned to INRIX and its Roadway Analytics, Signal Analytics, and Trip Analytics services.

Using INRIX data, Hamburg's Agency of Roads, Bridges and Waters gained critical insights into traffic flow, signal performance, and travel patterns for pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport. This enabled them to evaluate proposed infrastructure changes and guide major projects, including restructuring infrastructure around the Port of Hamburg and developing a new subway line to enhance transportation options for residents.
