Primeau Vélo Leads the Chase in E-Commerce and Product Storytelling

Primeau Velo is a three‑generation bicycle retailer with two large stores near Montréal that wanted to fight industry stagnation, recover market share year‑round, and deliver a true omnichannel, multilingual customer journey. To achieve this they partnered with Absolunet and selected Inriver’s PIM (inRiver Product Marketing Cloud) as the central technology to manage enriched, multi‑language product information and connect online and in‑store experiences.

Inriver’s PIM was implemented as part of a six‑month digital rollout (about four months for the PIM), enriching product content, enabling translations, and integrating with Magento to create endless‑aisle experiences. The results were strong: a 27% increase in total revenue year‑over‑year within six months, e‑commerce contributing up to 20% of sales, each $1 sold online driving $9 in store in Q1 2016, search‑driven sales doubled, and in‑store time‑to‑sale dropped from 40 to 20 minutes—while the marketing team now manages thousands of SKUs without added headcount.
