Living Spaces Furniture, a national home-furnishings retailer with brick-and-mortar stores and an e-commerce site, faced growing pain as its ERP and Episerver CMS could not scale to support web-specific attributes, filters, SEO, A/B testing or the complex special-orders fabric options. The manual processes stretched marketing and merchandising resources and slowed product updates, so Living Spaces implemented a PIM solution via Inriver to create a single source of truth for product content.
Working with implementation partner Luminos Labs, Living Spaces built a custom connector to Optimizely, moved all non-price product content into Inriver while Microsoft Dynamics continued to feed pricing and inventory, and deployed Excel-based supplier uploads plus REST APIs and automation scripts. The Inriver-powered workflow streamlined special orders, enabled in-store product rendering and better inventory accuracy, reduced manual work for marketing, and drove roughly a 20% increase in special orders.
