How Intermatic uses inriver PIM system as their central product information hub, creating a single source of truth for all the product content across the organization

Intermatic, a 130‑year‑old electrical manufacturing company with 500+ employees and over 400 OEM partners, faced inconsistent product descriptions and fragmented content across its website, catalogs, and price lists as it moved to modern digital commerce. To create a single source of truth and support e‑commerce growth, Intermatic selected the Inriver PIM system to centralize and standardize product information across the organization.

Using Inriver as a central product information hub, Intermatic feeds initial data from its IBM iSeries ERP via a fixed connector and enables product managers, writers, designers, and media teams to enrich content for output to the Sitecore website, PDF datasheets, localized languages, and marketplace syndication. The Inriver implementation made product data easier to audit and import/export, eliminated slow manual processes, improved productivity, enabled promotion of accessories and bundles for up‑sell/cross‑sell, and set up automated syndication to partners like Amazon — delivering a consistent, high‑quality single source of truth for product content.
