AkzoNobel, the global paints and coatings company based in Amsterdam, needed to modernize its data governance to ensure accurate technical information across 150+ countries. Before working with Inriver, the company’s business units operated in silos with fragmented, often manual processes, creating inconsistent product data and slowing the creation of customer-facing technical documentation.

AkzoNobel implemented Inriver’s PIM solution with support from implementation partner Ctac to build a centralized, scalable product data model and unified governance framework. Inriver helped AkzoNobel roll out its first business unit in just three months, create a roadmap to reduce about 25 ERP systems to 4–5, and improve the speed and accuracy of technical datasheet creation, moving the company toward a single source of truth.
