Seamless Component Monitoring In Aircraft Maintenance Location-aware digital twin ensures real-time visibility in the material assembly process and reduces search efforts

Inpixon worked with a largest global operating aviation group that needed to reduce time spent searching for aircraft components, ensure correct part selection, and prevent material loss during maintenance and repair. In its aircraft maintenance operations, parts were often misplaced in storage or during transport, which caused delays, extra labor, incorrect picking, and the risk of rework or spare-part procurement. The company used Inpixon’s INTRANAV.IO platform to address these issues.

Inpixon implemented INTRANAV.IO with RTLS tags and a Digital Twin to provide real-time location tracking, search and display of assets, and bundled assignment of parts and component groups to orders in SAP. The solution enabled workers to find components quickly on any device, receive alerts for misplaced items, and maintain a secure, continuous record of component movement. As a result, the customer significantly reduced search effort and labor time, improved picking accuracy, minimized delays and rework in engine overhaul, and gained a foundation for future process optimization and automated feedback into production planning systems.
