How Kaleida Health used indoor mapping and real-time location technology to build a better patient experience

Kaleida Health, the largest healthcare provider in western New York, wanted to improve patient and visitor satisfaction by replacing outdated signage, printed maps, and unsuccessful kiosks with a better indoor wayfinding experience. The hospital network needed a solution that could fit into its existing MyKaleida mobile app, support a growing real-time location strategy, and scale across its maze-like facilities.

Inpixon provided indoor mapping and real-time location technology, including blue dot wayfinding and web, iOS, and Android SDKs, to embed turn-by-turn navigation directly into the MyKaleida app. The result was a seamless patient experience with indoor maps, walking directions, and easier navigation across Kaleida Health’s hospitals, while also creating a platform for future use cases such as employee orientation, asset tracking, and equipment location.
