Case Study: Plinian Capital improves mining value chain visibility with InPhase

A InPhase Case Study

Plinian Capital - Customer Case Study

Plinian Capital, an investment firm focused on undervalued opportunities in the mining value chain, used InPhase to improve visibility across its turnaround investment at Consolidated Nickel Mines. The challenge was that different teams were working in silos, making it hard to see where the mine’s value chain was breaking down and where operational priorities were being misaligned.

Using InPhase, Plinian Capital mapped the mining value chain end to end to show how work flows from mining through to the customer, exposing bottlenecks and tradeoffs that were hurting future production. The platform quickly revealed that key development metres needed for future output were being sacrificed in favor of short-term production, prompting changes to staffing, standard operating procedures, and leading indicators such as rework. Mark Sander said InPhase made it possible to see “what’s not working” in ways they could not before.
