Innovolt Increases Availability and Reduces Trouble Tickets in ATMs

A regional northeastern consumer bank wanted to increase ATM availability and reduce service costs, trouble tickets and unexpected reboots. The bank suspected Electrical Over Stress (EOS) at the ATM outlet was causing reboots and needed outlet-level electrical disturbance data to justify wiring improvements.

Innovolt deployed power-protection devices across in-branch ATMs and collected six months of outlet-level power data. The trial produced a 54% reduction in fleetwide trouble tickets (1954 → 897), a 62% reduction in reboots (98 → 45), and a 0.32 percentage-point increase in per-ATM availability (98.42% → 98.74%), cutting downtime and service calls.
