Case Study: Valdero Corporation achieves accelerated supply chain data integration with Innovative Routines International (IRI)

CoSort Speeds Valdero Supply Chain Data Integration

Valdero Corporation, a provider of real-time supply and demand chain execution software, faced the challenge of integrating large, varied data feeds (bulk files, message queues, multiple formats) into its Active Repository in near‑real time while minimizing impact to online users. To address this, Valdero adopted Innovative Routines International (IRI)’s CoSort solution—specifically the sortcl utility—within its Application Integration Manager (AIM) to perform sorting, transformation and change detection outside the database.

Using IRI’s CoSort sortcl (wrapped with Python for multi‑platform support) to perform filters, joins and net‑change detection, Valdero was able to process hundreds of thousands of rows quickly, narrow loads to only changed records, and significantly reduce the time to refresh its repository with minimal online impact. Innovative Routines International (IRI) also provided strong support and documentation, helping Valdero maintain consistent performance across Solaris, Linux and Windows platforms.
