A Innovative Routines International (IRI) Case Study
Solusi247, a Jakarta-based data-warehouse consultancy focused on telecommunications, faced a high-volume ETL challenge: its telco client’s MSC produced more than 50 million call-detail records per day that had to be resolved, transformed and loaded within a strict 1:00–4:00 a.m. staging window. Solusi247 used its SDTRAT tool for binary-to-ASCII conversion and turned to Innovative Routines International (IRI)’s CoSORT/SortCL for the heavy-duty data integration, sorting and staging tasks.
IRI’s CoSORT (SortCL) was implemented to filter, sort, join, aggregate and reformat all 50 million rows in a single or just a few job scripts and one I/O pass, integrated into Solusi247’s portal for scheduling and monitoring. The result: CoSORT completed the required ETL work within the available staging window (between the 45-minute conversion and 45-minute final load), delivering the throughput and scalability to support more than 600 customer-care users, outperform competing tools, and enable additional simultaneous processing with measurable, production-ready gains.
