Oma Red Cross – digital tools for volunteering

The Finnish Red Cross, a major non-governmental organization with 40,000 active volunteers, faced the challenge of managing its growing volunteer activities and needed new digital tools to make operations smoother and more efficient. They partnered with vendor Innofactor to create a digital system for this purpose.

Innofactor developed the Oma Red Cross information system, which allows volunteers to create profiles and easily find tasks, events, and training. Co-designed with nearly 100 volunteers, the platform provides new tools for performing tasks and serves as a secure, convenient base for the organization's services. The success of this project is positioned to have a significant positive impact on Finnish society by streamlining how vital volunteer help is organized and delivered.
