Case Study: Ullensaker Municipality builds a secure cloud platform with Innofactor

Microsoft Azure's cloud environment is an integral part of Ullensaker municipality's growth strategy

Ullensaker Municipality, a rapidly growing Norwegian municipality that is home to Oslo Airport, faced significant challenges including a low tax base, high expenses, and a young population demanding modern digital services. To support its growth strategy, the municipality needed a new, untraditional approach to IT and chose to adopt a "cloud-first" strategy. They partnered with vendor Innofactor to help plan and implement the desired cloud architecture.

Innofactor implemented its Virtual Data Center (VDC) for Azure, a solution based on Microsoft's best practices and infrastructure as code. This provided Ullensaker with a solid, secure cloud platform featuring customized policies for data protection and identity control. The results included the quick and flexible distribution of new functionality, efficient inbuilt security, and a dramatically accelerated implementation speed that the municipality could not have achieved on its own, allowing them to innovate with confidence.
