A Innofactor Case Study
Innofactor helped Ski Kommune, a Norwegian municipality, address the challenge of a failing and outdated IT infrastructure that could not support its digital transformation goals or reliably serve its residents and employees. The aging platform, localized in the town hall basement, was unstable and had experienced a major system-wide failure.
The solution involved Innofactor completely modernizing the IT environment by building a new local datacentre using Microsoft's System Center portfolio. This created a highly available, cloud-like platform with 350 virtual servers, providing the automation, flexibility, and scalability needed for future growth. As a result, Innofactor enabled the successful and rapid hosting of critical services for an intercommunal cooperation and has positioned Ski Kommune to seamlessly integrate with cloud services like Azure in the future.
