Innofactor built an Azure Edge Computing solution for Mirka, a company specializing in high-quality surface treatment products. Mirka's challenge was to find a way to govern application components for its automated factory line from the Microsoft Azure cloud while executing and running them locally to manage the entire production life cycle.

The solution implemented by Innofactor utilized Azure IoT Edge, enabling cloud management of applications with local execution at the factory. This allowed Mirka to securely stream IoT data and utilize machine learning to guide factory robots, helping to detect errors much earlier. The project was a success, with Mirka's project manager stating they received the exact solution they had dreamed of, highlighting Innofactor's proactive partnership.
