DSB optimizes quality control with a solution based on Microsoft Power Platform

Innofactor collaborated with DSB, a major Danish state-owned railway company, to address a challenge in their quality control process. The existing method for taking random sample measurements of train arrivals and departures was a time-consuming, paper-based system that was prone to errors and delayed analysis.

The solution implemented by Innofactor was a digital "ObservationsApp" built on the Microsoft Power Platform. This application streamlined data collection on mobile devices, eliminating manual transcription and accelerating the entire process. The development was remarkably fast, with version two completed in just 85 hours. The result was a much faster, more flexible, and valid quality control process, allowing DSB to create, implement, and analyze observations on the same day and even utilize non-specialist staff for the task.
