A Innofactor Case Study
The University of Oulu sought a cost-efficient proof of concept application to manage soil moisture conditions for agricultural research. They needed a data-driven solution to automate the adjustment of subsurface drainage wells for their TIMAKO project. After a tendering process, the university selected Invenco, which is now part of Innofactor, to provide a solution.
Innofactor implemented an agile, low-code solution that integrated with nearly 100 IoT sensors embedded in the soil. This approach leveraged the university's existing systems and allowed experts to focus on co-designing the real-time user interface with farmers. While specific metrics are not provided, the solution successfully created a functional system for measuring and adjusting soil moisture, building on a previous relationship known for its cost-efficiency and agility.
