Standard Chartered Bank, a global bank headquartered in London with ~85,000 employees, wanted to unlock hidden skills, gain visibility beyond rigid job structures, and make it easier to deploy the right people to the right opportunities as part of preparing the organisation for the future. To address career progression, development and employee experience challenges, the bank selected Gloat and its Internal Talent Marketplace.
Using Gloat’s AI‑driven Internal Talent Marketplace under a multi‑year agreement, Standard Chartered created a bias‑free internal marketplace that matches employees to hundreds of career and development opportunities, enabling upskilling and reskilling through real-world assignments. In a pilot (including India’s Global Services Business, Bangalore) the platform engaged 12,000 users, unlocked 4,000 hours of productivity, generated hundreds of internal opportunities and drove the largest year‑on‑year increase in career development satisfaction; Gloat is now being rolled out across the bank.
