A Gloat Case Study

Preview of the Seagate Case Study

Seagate turns a global pandemic into a business transformation opportunity with Gloat's talent marketplace

Seagate, a global data-storage leader of about 40,000 employees, faced pandemic-driven shifts in demand and a need to redeploy talent, close skills gaps, and reduce hiring bias. To accelerate internal mobility and surface hidden talent, Seagate partnered with Gloat and implemented Gloat’s talent marketplace, Career Discovery, to create a faster, more transparent, equitable way to match employees to roles and gigs.

Using Gloat’s platform, Seagate launched Career Discovery and rapidly scaled adoption—88% of employees registered and 87% completed profiles, with high engagement within 45 days. In the first four months the program saved an estimated $1.4 million, unlocked 35,000 hours of usage, and drove a 58% increase in assignment participation by women, while combining AI matching, redeployment rules, and an internal upskilling curriculum to enable fast redeployments and measurable diversity and cost/time improvements.
