WeatherBug Increases Monthly Revenue with InMobi Mediation

WeatherBug, a popular free weather app with about 20 million users worldwide, needed to boost global ad revenue while cutting the number of ad network SDKs in its app. Running six to eight direct ad partners created overhead and limited their ability to run true simultaneous auctions and hit CPM targets without adding more SDKs.

WeatherBug implemented InMobi’s mediation platform to run true unified auctions via a single SDK and server-to-server connections, reducing latency and passbacks while increasing competition for inventory. Within two months they saw higher eCPMs and an overall revenue increase of about 15%, and plan to move more demand into the mediation solution.
