Microsoft Japan ran a smartphone campaign to build brand awareness for the launch of its first Surface tablet, aiming to reach Android and iOS users and communicate the device’s features, colors and accessories.
They deployed interactive rich-media mobile ads that let users swipe to reveal the keyboard connection, tap color buttons to preview finishes, and click hotspots to view connector details, with the Surface commercial embedded in the creative. The animated, interactive format drove high user engagement with the campaign.
