Gaia Interactive re-launched its hit iOS game Monster Galaxy: The Zodiac Islands and needed to drive app downloads and climb the iTunes charts among young men and women ages 14–23. The challenge was to re-ignite momentum for the app and push it into top chart positions on iTunes.
Working with InMobi, Gaia ran display banner ads using an escalating “rank‑push” strategy — increasing daily spend caps with a weekend burst followed by sustained spend to preserve rank. Within 72 hours the app reached the Top 10 in all targeted categories and subcategories for Free and Top Grossing Apps, later peaking at #3 in Free Apps, Games, and Top Grossing, and achieving a company-record single‑day revenue.
