Canon partners with InMobi to feature wireless printing and promote contest participation

Canon Inc., a global leader in imaging and optical products, ran a contest in Singapore asking smartphone users to download crafts from Canon PIXMAtown, print and assemble them, then post photos to the brand’s Facebook gallery. Canon partnered with InMobi to raise awareness and drive participation by promoting wireless printing and contest entry to iOS and Android users.

InMobi created an interactive rich-media ad with a sliding “page tear” reveal that previewed the contest, showed redeemable merchandise, linked to Canon PIXMAtown’s Facebook and site, and offered direct downloads of the PIXMA Canon Easy‑Photo Print app for wireless printing. The campaign delivered strong engagement: average time on the ad was 4.5× the industry average and engagement rate was 2.5× the industry average.
