Case Study: BIA Group achieves transparent, centralized coordination of large‑scale plant projects with InLoox

BIA Group plans and coordinates the modification and new construction of production facilities

BIA Group, an international automotive supplier based in Solingen, faced a major challenge: EU REACh rules required converting and retrofitting its chrome electroplating plants, beginning in 2020 with the oldest facility. Project leads struggled to coordinate many trades and stakeholders using low-digital processes and numerous Excel spreadsheets, so BIA chose the project management solution InLoox PM (on-premise) for clearer planning, central data storage, simultaneous access and Outlook integration as a cost-effective alternative to MS‑Project.

BIA implemented InLoox PM with a local database, organizing work into subprojects, running weekly coordination meetings and giving 28 managers and project members (including three in Mexico) shared access to schedules and tasks. Using InLoox, BIA achieved more structured data collection, better task and interface management, real-time transparency for management, fewer on-site meetings, and temporal integration of construction activities — with the first plant conversion completed in April 2022 and further plant projects planned.
