AviComp Controls plans and controls resources across different locations

AviComp Controls GmbH, an engineering service provider for instrumentation and automation with sites in Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Serbia, Belarus and Singapore, faced difficulty getting a company-wide view of engineering projects and efficiently allocating resources across locations. After finding Microsoft Project could not be integrated with their ERP (Navision), AviComp selected InLoox—opting for the cloud-based InLoox now! solution with Outlook integration—to give managers transparent, cross-site project and resource visibility.

InLoox implemented a cloud rollout completed on April 1, 2021, and now supports more than 100 users (about 25 managers and ~80 contributors) across 28 initial projects, enabling task breakdowns, shared dashboards and reporting. The InLoox solution accelerated resource planning and peak-load redistribution (e.g., shifting capacity between Singapore, Belgrade and Minsk), saved time through reusable project templates and simplified controlling, and is being prepared for deeper ERP integration via InLoox’s API to bring merchandise and equipment data into project forecasts.
