Craft ACT rebrands for 52-year legacy with Inklab

Craft ACT, a self-funded membership-based organisation advocating for Canberra's creative scene, faced a significant challenge with its public positioning and a haphazard brand identity that had evolved over its 52-year history. This undermined its contributions and its annual Design Canberra Festival. The organisation partnered with vendor Inklab to create a unified, professional identity to amplify its legacy and position Canberra as a global city of design.

Inklab implemented a comprehensive rebranding solution, which included new brand positioning, a flexible identity system, and tailored event marketing. The key deliverable was the new name, Craft + Design Canberra, which consolidated the organisation's festival and membership programs under a single, vibrant brand. This strategic refresh was designed to raise the perceived value of the local creative sector, drive sales for its shop, and support place branding to incentivize art tourism.
