BSH Hausgeräte unifies 50 intranets for 62,000 employees with ]init[ AG

BSH Hausgeräte, a global home appliance manufacturer, faced the challenge of having an outdated intranet that lagged behind modern standards. With over 62,000 employees across numerous global locations, the company needed a unified digital platform to improve internal communication and foster its corporate culture. INIT AG was engaged to address this and help consolidate over 50 independent country-specific intranet offerings.

INIT AG implemented a user-centered, personalized intranet platform using the content collaboration software Confluence. The solution broke down information silos, introduced social interaction features, and provided extensive training for over 1,500 editors. The project was highly successful, resulting in an intranet that significantly simplified handling and improved workflows. For this work, INIT AG and BSH jointly received the Inkometa Award 2022 in the "Social & Collaboration Intranet" category.
