Emerald Expositions, a leading organizer of tradeshows and consumer events, wanted to improve registration and attendance for its WPPI Wedding & Portrait Photography Conference + Expo. Specifically, Emerald needed a way to attract new quality attendees, boost pre-registration to on-site conversion, and increase attendance among the under-30 demographic. To help with these goals, Emerald used InGo’s event marketing software suite.
InGo implemented a customized solution that included Social Registration, Personal Invites, automated Social Posting, and a Who’s In widget. The results were strong: WPPI achieved a 41% adoption rate, generated 2,318 personal invitations and 531,095 trusted social impressions, and saw 41% of show growth come through the InGo channel, with half of that being net new registrants. InGo also helped drive a 63% pre-registration to on-site conversion rate, outperforming the industry average by 13 points, while increasing attendance from younger attendees and women.
