Merck has the right tool for transparent structures

Merck faced a time-consuming, error-prone process of manually creating organizational charts in MS PowerPoint for its global workforce (33,000 employees across 60+ countries), with limited accuracy and no seamless integration with SAP. To replace monthly, manually produced JPG charts and achieve up-to-date, accurate org charts company-wide, Merck selected Ingentis org.manager as the new solution.

Ingentis org.manager was integrated with Merck’s SAP HCM to automate data transfer and the generation and daily publication of org charts, with the first automated charts produced within hours of implementation. The solution now produces accurate, up-to-date charts for 33,000 staff across 60 countries (initially covering 9,000 at Merck KGaA plus 24,000 in regional branches), improved transparency, measurable efficiency gains, reduced internal process costs, robust search and cross-entity responsibility visualization, and high staff acceptance.
