Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), the largest and most attended film festival in the U.S.—screening roughly 440 films to over 150,000 moviegoers and running year‑round screenings and education programs—faced the challenge of keeping its website current with hundreds of film pages, trailers, show times and other time‑sensitive content. SIFF needed to scale publishing, improve discoverability by interests and attributes, and optimize the experience for an increasingly mobile audience searching for screenings and tickets.

SIFF implemented Ingeniux CMS to enable real‑time content updates, structured metadata management, and automated imports from their film database so pages and search indexes can be generated quickly. The site combines a responsive design with a mobile “film finder” featuring smart filters (“SIFFters”) and Cartella photo‑blogging for live festival updates—resulting in better film discoverability, improved mobile usability, and sustained audience engagement.
