A Ingeniux Case Study
Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) is a publicly owned water and electric utility serving roughly 200,000 customers in Eugene, Oregon and the McKenzie River valley. Their site was built on an aging, homegrown HTML CMS managed by a single web editor and contained outdated, hard-to-find content. EWEB needed a modern, scalable CMS and a content strategy to improve findability, enable multiple content authors, and deliver a mobile-first, customer-focused experience.
EWEB chose Ingeniux and completed a full redesign with new content strategy, taxonomy, and component-based reusable content, cutting the site from about 800 pages to 250 and reorganizing content by customer type. Ingeniux’s workflow, responsive design, and content-reuse features let a broader team manage content and improved newsroom/social publishing; within 90 days overall bounce rate fell 29%, home-page bounce dropped from 66% to 20%, time on site increased, and pages per session rose to 2.33, with plans to add personalized experiences via integrations.
