The Large European Online Travel Agency needed help optimizing its complex payments flow, from authorization and settlement to fraud controls and foreign exchange. Ingenico Group, through its Ingenico ePayments service, analyzed the OTA’s performance and identified issues in its technical setup, refund/reversal handling, and missing payment options across markets.
Ingenico Group implemented an upgraded technical connection with enhanced reversal and authorization-voiding capabilities, added transaction ID functionality to speed refunds and reversals, and enabled Secure-D3 checks to improve fraud prevention and authorization in Sweden. The work also uncovered missing currencies that were affecting conversion, and the changes improved the OTA’s authorization rates by almost 10% while also increasing customer satisfaction and sales potential.
