Pandora, the international jewellery retailer, needed to replace its paper-based gift card system in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands to reduce fraud, simplify operations, and meet local regulatory requirements. To support this shift, Pandora worked with Ingenico Group and its integrated POS solution to move toward electronic, plastic gift cards across more than 200 Northern European stores.

Ingenico Group implemented a fully integrated electronic gift card program linked to Pandora’s cash register system, making sales, activation, and refunds simpler for store staff. The rollout delivered strong results, including a 50% increase in gift card sales over the Christmas period, along with better reconciliation, lower fraud risk, and more efficient, eco-friendly administration.
