Sleepy’s, the largest privately held specialty mattress and bedding retailer in the U.S., needed to upgrade its point-of-sale technology ahead of EMV migration while also supporting debit cards, NFC/contactless payments, better security, and lower operating costs. The company turned to Ingenico Group for a payment solution that could keep pace with changing payment methods and integrate with its existing systems.
Ingenico Group implemented iSC Touch 480 smart terminals and the IngEstate terminal management system for Sleepy’s. The solution enabled EMV, debit, and contactless acceptance, added signature capture, and allowed remote terminal management. As a result, Sleepy’s reduced processing and gateway fees, improved payment security through third-party P2PE integration, cut maintenance costs with remote updates, and lowered PCI audit scope from about 300 questions to 10.
